BHAIYAA JI SMILE : ELECTION AHEAD

Well, finally people of Uttar Pradesh have got a chance to reply via Ballots. But the Big question is how to decide to whom I should vote. Whether should vote in accordance to Dalit Factor, Yadav factor or Development factor. So here I am going to present some facts, figures and Incidents which will surely help you to make your choice.

Poverty According to Tendulkar committee 29.43% population of Uttar Pradesh is below the poverty line. However according to Rangrajan committee it can be as high as 39.8% below poverty line. BY the way all India average is 21.92% but UP has surpassed this figure.

Despite these Crores of money was spent on building parks, memorials. Looks like for Akhilesh government there wasn’t much beyond Etawah and Saifai.

Infrastructure– Infrastructure condition in state is worst among big and progressing states in India. Thanks to Central government that funded Chaudhri charan singh airport Lucknow and Lal Bahadur Shastri airport Varanasi international airport. Bridges in UP are actually made halfway and roads are constructed with big potholes to collect rain waters. Lots of factories were shutdown. COD Crossing flyover is the best example, which started building in year 2004 and till date it is not completed yet.

Akhilesh government finally realized old tactics of goonies are not going to work any longer. CM Akhilesh inaugurated more than 900 development projects worth Rs 60 thousand crore in one day‎. But people will have to wait for months before they get any benefit from many of these projects, Since many of them are far from completion.

It started with the inauguration of the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on November 21. The inauguration made a big splash with fighter jets landing on the expressway but the expressway is yet to be thrown open to public. Those working on project say there is still a lot of work left before it can finally be opened for traffic.

Similar is the state the much publicised Lucknow Metro project. Though work on the project is going at fast pace, it will be months before the metro’s doors can be thrown open to the public. This, however, didn’t restrain UP CM, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and others to go ahead with its inauguration earlier this month.

Crime Uttar Pradesh tops the list of crimes under this bahubali government. When girls are raped, son-father duo make statements like “Ladke hein ho hi jaata hain”. There has been spike of forceful marriages and conversions commonly known as Love Jihad in western Uttar Pradesh. Love jihad has drained out all the love that existed between Hindus and Muslims. Of the more than 12,000 low-key communal incidents recorded in UP since 2010, nearly 15 percent are spurred by cases involving women: from alleged sexual violence to elopement. Uttar Pradesh has become a riot machine with this record.

Economic Downfall– Uttar Pradesh is the lowest among the traditional BIMARU states (Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and UP) in this regard during the past nine years i.e. during 2004-05 and 2012-13, according to an ASSOCHAM study although UP’s share in terms of contribution to Indian economy has remained highest during the aforesaid period its share has dipped from 8.8 % as of 2004-05 to 8.1 % as of 2012-13.

Agricultural downfall According to a study titled ‘States Emergence: A comparative analysis of growth & development,’ conducted by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham) UP has acquired 15th position amid top 20 states in India with a mere 3.2 per cent compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) in agriculture and allied sector during the decadal period of 2004-05 and 2013-14.

Power sector Uttar Pradesh regularly experiences power crises because demand for electricity frequently exceeds supply significantly. Over the last 20 years power shortage has remained within the range of 10-15%, while shortages in periods of peak demand reaches at even higher levels. In 2013, even a gap of up to 43% opens up between the state’s demand and supply of electricity. As per figures presented in the Power Ministry’s review meeting in March 2014, the state’s projected demand for summer 2013-14 is 15,839 MW showing a gap of 6,832 MW. This results in poor and unreliable power supply with rampant power cuts and prolonged periods of low voltage. As a consequence industrial investment in Uttar Pradesh has been constrained, with industries preferring to locate themselves elsewhere.

Despite the center government provided adequate coal allocation to state in order to meet power shortage, State government failed to meet the demands.

Education– Uttar Pradesh has 58 universities in which 5 are central, 23 are state, 10 are deemed and 20 are private. With 1 IIM, 2 IITs and MNREC Akhilesh Yadav government makes sure that the UP citizens do not avail the full benefit of this framework and make sure that the literacy rate is below national average. UP is one of the backward states having literacy rate of just 69.72%with 29th place in India.

Uttar Pradesh also ranks high when it comes to private engineering colleges; many of them are fake or don’t have enough facility and infrastructure to provide education. Many students passed out as engineering graduates are forced to roam around with degrees in hand searching for job.

Uttar Pradesh is a very happening place, where every now and then crime is breeding. And here are few which have ruined the peace of the state.

2013 Muzaffarnagar riots: The clash between Hindu and Muslim communities has been described as worst violence in Uttar Pradesh. Supreme Court Of India  while hearing petitions in relation to the riots held the Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party, prima facie guilty of negligence in preventing the violence and ordered it to immediately arrest all those accused irrespective of their political affiliation. Court also blamed the then UPA-1 government for its failure to provide intelligence inputs to the Samajwadi Party-ruled state government in time to help sound alerts.

Moradabad: In Moradabad, police removed the loudspeaker from a Temple citing that it’s a Muslim majority area. Why is it okay for all the mosques in the Hindu majority area to play the azaan five times a day. Isn’t it a minority appeasement politics, isn’t it the same as Mamta Banerjee does in West Bengal during durga puja.

Kairana Exodus: According to the 2001 Indian census, 52% of Kairana’s population was Hindu and the remaining 48% was Muslim. In 2011, 68% of Kairana’s population was Muslims, and 30% Hindus. In June 2016, it was reported that only 8% of the population was Hindu and 92% were Muslims. And the result was plight of Hindus from Kairana. The NHRC Report had confirmed that 250 Hindu families had indeed left the town due to fear of the members of a particular community which was “majority in the area”. The report also confirmed youths belonging to the majority community (Muslims) were passing lewd remarks against the females of the minority community in the town. Due to this, females of the specific minority community (Hindus) were asked not to go out frequently and could not gather courage to report the matter to the police. The report also confirmed the terror of Mukim Kala which had committed at least 47 known cases of robbery, murder, dacoity, extortion and violation of the Arms Act in the 5-year period between 2010 and 2015. The report said the resettlement of over 25,000 members of the minority community in the aftermath of the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots had led to a major change in the demography of many towns in the region, including Kairana.

Women under attack in UP

Here are some of the disturbing and gruesome incidents of sexual violence that have gone under the radar of our Delhi-centric national media that prefers to obsess with cow vigilantism:

  • 7 rapes, including the gangrape & subsequent suicide of 40 year old ASHA health worker Somavati, were reported in a 2 week period in February this year. Accused in 6 cases were Muslims.
  • Molestation of a newly wed Hindu bride by 4 Muslims in Aligarh sparked fears of a Hindu exodus.
  • Hindu Dalit girl attempts suicide bid in Moradabad after rape attempt by Muslim SP leader’s relative
  • Minor girl gangraped & filmed by 5 Muslims in Moradabad, UP
  • Rapes, molestation and sexual harassment of girls contributes to exodus of Hindus from Kairana, Shamli

And I can go on and on describing the horrifying incidents, impact of minority appeasement etc. It is the time and opportunity for the people of Uttar Pradesh to eradicate the sufferings, reply them hard who played minority vote bank politics, Goonda Politics. This drama of family feud should be shown their place. Which has obstructed growth of UP for months. UP kisi ke Baap ki Jaigir nahi hai.
